This Privacy Policy applies to our websites – wolife.ca and wocamellia.ca (“our Sites”) – and all other channels in which WO LIFE INC. collects and uses your personal information.  This Privacy Policy serves to explain our practices for the collection, use, and disclosure of users’ personal information.

Our Sites are owned and operated by WO LIFE INC.. WO LIFE INC. can be contacted at info@wocamellia.ca.

Purpose

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform users of our Sites of the following:

• The personal data we will collect;
• Use of collected data;
• Who has access to the data collected; and
• The rights of Site users.

By using our Sites, users agree that they consent to:

This Privacy Policy applies in addition to the Terms and Conditions of User Agreement of our Sites.

What Information is Collected?

At WO LIFE INC., we collect two types of information: personal information and non-personal information.  The types of information we collect depend on the nature of how users interact with us.

• User’s contact information: e.g. name, postal address, telephone number, and email address;
• User’s transaction information: e.g. products purchased, method of payment, amount paid, and credit or debit card number.

Online

Our Sites can be browsed anonymously. However, to engage in certain special features or functions of our Sites, or to order products and services from our Sites, you may be asked to provide certain personal information, such as your name, email address, postal address, telephone number, or credit card information. We use this information to create your account, contact and correspond with you about your order, respond to your inquiries, and monitor functions of our Sites that you choose to use, such as online forums.

Returns and Exchanges

For WO LIFE INC. to offer our Return Policy, we ask for personal information such as your name, address, and telephone number for the purposes of detecting and preventing fraud. You may also be asked to produce photo ID, business identification number or tax identification number for verification purposes only.

Purchase Follow-Up and Surveys

After you purchase products from WO LIFE INC., we may send you a follow-up letter to thank you for your business.

We may use contact information collected to conduct occasional surveys and other customer research. These surveys are entirely voluntary and you may easily decline to participate.

Sign-Up for Newsletters or Updates

WO LIFE INC. also offers newsletters and promotional communications.  Should you choose to enrol we will collect your contact information, such as name and email address. This information will only be used to send you the newsletter and promotional announcements that you have requested.

You may stop receiving newsletters and other forms of electronic marketing communication from our company at any time by following any of the following procedures:

• You may send an e-mail to info@wocamellia.ca stating your wish to opt-out receiving any of our electronic marketing communications.
• You may also do this by clicking the ‘Unsubscribe’ link within any of the electronic newsletters that are sent out to you.

Our subscriber list is NEVER sold or rented to other parties.

You may choose not to provide us with your personal information.  However, if you make this choice, we may not be able to provide you with the product, service, or information that you requested.

Personal Data We Collect

We only collect data that helps us achieve the purpose set out in this Privacy Policy. We will not collect any additional data beyond the data listed below without notifying you first.

When using our Sites, we may collect the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, the IP address of your Internet Service Provider, the date and time you access our Sites, the Internet address of the Web site from which you linked directly to our Sites, the operating system you are using, the sections of our Sites you visit, the pages read and images viewed in our Sites, and the content you download from our Sites. This information is used for our Sites and system administration purposes and to improve our Sites.

Data Collected in an Automatic Way

When you visit and use our Sites, we may automatically collect and store the following information:

How is Your Personal Information Used?

Data collected on our Sites will only be used for the purposes specified in this Privacy Policy or indicated on the relevant pages of our Sites. We will not use your data beyond what we disclose in this Privacy Policy.

WO LIFE INC. will collect, use, or disclose your personal information only with your knowledge and consent, except where required or permitted by law.  When you choose to provide us with your personal information, you consent to the use of your personal information as identified in this Privacy Policy and as may be further identified at the time of collection.

Sometimes you will be asked to give your express consent, such as by checking a box to indicate your consent to receive marketing communications, or by providing your signature to indicate your acceptance of the use and disclosure terms presented on an application form.

Implied Consent

Other times, we may obtain your consent implicitly when we can reasonably conclude that you have given consent by some action you have taken or an action you have decided not to take.  Generally, this occurs where the purpose for use of your personal information would be reasonably apparent to you.

Withdrawing Your Consent

You may notify us at any time that you wish to withdraw or change your consent to our use and disclosure of your information.  We will accommodate your request subject to legal and contractual restrictions related to your transactions.

If you have subscribed to one of our newsletters or mailing lists, we will always provide you the opportunity to unsubscribe.  Each e-newsletter we send to you will include a link or other method to unsubscribe further e-newsletters.

Who We Share Personal Data With

WO LIFE INC. does not sell nor rent our customers’ personal information to any party. However, in the normal course of business we may share some of your personal information within our corporate family and with third parties acting on our behalf or as permitted or required by law.

Some of these operations may result in personal information collected by WO LIFE INC. being stored or processed outside of Canada and, as a result, your personal information may be accessible to law enforcement and regulatory authorities in accordance with the law of these foreign jurisdictions.

Service Providers

WO LIFE INC. may use third parties to manage one of more aspects of our business operations, including the processing or handling of personal information, fulfilling online orders, processing non-cash payments, sending marketing communications, servicing products, conducting research surveys, verifying and validating information that you have provided to us, delivering products, and providing customer support services.  When we do use an outside company, we use contractual or other appropriate means to ensure that your personal information is used in a manner that is consistent with this Privacy Policy.

WO LIFE INC. has taken precautions to prevent the fraudulent use of your information on our Sites. WO LIFE INC. has adopted industry standard authentication procedures to ensure your protection while shopping with us online. This includes, but is not limited to, contacting financial institutions or credit reporting agencies to ensure the authenticity of your credit card and to validate your credit card billing information.

Information Shared Amongst WO LIFE INC.’s divisions

WO LIFE INC. may share personal information gathered on our Sites amongst its divisions for internal business purposes in accordance with this Privacy Policy.  If WO LIFE INC. shares your information within its corporate family, we will ensure that your information continues to be used only in accordance with this Privacy Policy and your expressed choices.

Product Safety Recalls

In the event we receive notice from a manufacturer of a product safety recall, we may provide your contact information, limited to name, address, and telephone number, to the manufacturer so that they may notify you of the recall and supply details of any replacement programs. This transfer or your contact information will occur only for recalls that may impact your personal safety or impair the functionality of the product you purchased from us.

Legal Disclosure

WO LIFE INC. may disclose your information as permitted or required by law.  We may be compelled to release information by a court of law or other person or entity with jurisdiction to compel production of such information.  If we have reasonable grounds to believe information could be useful in the investigation of improper or unlawful activity, we may disclose information to law enforcement agencies or other appropriate investigative bodies.

 

Employees
We may disclose user data to any member of WO LIFE INC. who reasonably needs access to user data to achieve the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy.

 

Other Disclosures
We will not sell or share your data with other third parties, except in the following cases:

• If the law requires it;
• If it is required for any legal proceeding;
• To prove or protect our legal rights; and
• To buyers or potential buyers of WO LIFE INC. in the event that we seek to sell the company.

If you follow hyperlinks from our Sites to another Site, please note that we are not responsible for and have no control over their privacy policies and practices.

 

How Long We Store Personal Data

We keep your information only as long as we need it for legitimate business purposes and to meet any legal requirements.  We have retention standards that meet these parameters. We destroy your information when it is no longer needed.

 

How We Protect Your Personal Data

All data is only accessible to our employees. Our employees are bound by strict confidentiality agreements, and a breach of this agreement would result in the employee’s termination of employment.

While we take all reasonable precautions to ensure that user data is secure and that users are protected, there always remains the risk of harm. The Internet as a whole can be insecure at times; we are unable to guarantee the security of user data beyond what is reasonably practical.

 

Children

We do not knowingly collect or use personal data from children under 13 years of age.  If we learn that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 years of age, the personal data will be deleted immediately.  If a child under 13 years of age has provided us with personal data, their parent or guardian may contact us at info@wocamellia.ca.

If you would like to know if we have collected your personal data, how we have used your personal data, if we have disclosed your personal data, to whom we disclosed your personal data, or if you would like your data to be deleted or modified in any way, please send email to info@wocamellia.ca.

How to Opt-Out of Data Collection, Use or Disclosure

In addition to the methods described in the How to Access, Modify, Delete, or Change the Data Collected section, we provide the following opt-out methods for the forms of collection, use, or disclosure of your personal data as follows:

• You may send an e-mail to info@wocamellia.ca stating your wish to opt-out of the use of your personal data for marketing emails; or
• You can opt-out of the use of your personal data for marketing emails by clicking “unsubscribe” on the bottom of any marketing email.

 

Modifications

This Privacy Policy may be amended from time to time in order to maintain compliance with the law and to reflect any changes to our data collection process.  Each time you submit personal information or use our services you agree to be bound by the then current terms of the Privacy Policy.  When we amend this Privacy Policy, we will update the “Effective Date” at the top of this Privacy Policy.  We recommend that our users periodically review our Privacy Policy to ensure that they are notified of any updates.  If necessary, we may notify users by email of changes to this Privacy Policy.
